GRAHAM Turner took time out of his busy schedule with Hereford United to join an audience of 500 players and families at the annual Leominster Minors awards evening.

The presentations, held at Bridge Street Park, focused on team achievements and playing for enjoyment.

Echoing the importance of fair play in grassroots football, the Bulls boss encouraged youngsters to ignore some of the bad behaviour they might see in the Premier League.

He also looked forward to the new campaign and the big-name visitors to Edgar Street next season.

Minors Chairman Andy Bowden said the evening had been a great success.

“We are very proud of all our players and wanted our awards evening to be a little more like the Oscars!” he said.

“When we announced Graham as our special guest it was great to see the thrill on the faces of everyone.

He then presented around 60 trophies to lucky winners and stayed until the last autograph had been signed.”

Pictures of all the winners are at the club’s website at www.leominsterminors.co.uk
