THE Hereford branch of a national flooring firm has closed after going into administration.
Floors-2-Go made two staff at its Mortimer Road premises redundant and shut down immediately after announcing on Monday 41 of its stores will go.
Poor housing sales and a subsequent fall in home improvement spending is blamed for the closures and 97 redundancies nationwide.
Fraser Gray, of administrators Kroll, said Floors-2-Go as a whole would keep trading in the hope a buyer was found.
“We understand this is a difficult time for everyone involved and would like to thank customers, suppliers and employees for their continued support throughout the administration process,” he said.
The former Floors-2-Go stand at Hereford United’s Edgar Street ground, sponsorship of which has gone to Cargill, is currently being rebranded.
